Baton Rouge Elite Steps Out to Celebrate Diversity Among Women in “The Power of Women” Inaugural Fashion Show

Co-hosted by Max 94.1 On-Air Radio Personality LaTangela Fay Sherman and Comedian AO of Comedy Central fame, the night’s performances are scheduled to dazzle between the DJ sets from Perfect 10 Entertainment, dancer Michael Hayes, empowering poetry from the former Poetic Paige and captivating runway fashion shows creatively directed by NYC model and Confidence Coach Dutchis Runway.

Despite being the first major event from Nina RO$$, her hard work as a stylist for the Baton Rouge elite has put her in all the right social circles. An event of this magnitude has garnered contributions and support from Congressional District Candidate Dartanyon Williams and The Hon. Lamont Cole, Mayor Pro Tem of Baton Rouge as well as Cota Skin Founder and CEO Britni Ricard. Attendees can expect to hear words of inspiration from these famous faces throughout the night of this amazing show as they collectively spread the message of unity, diversity and empowerment to women in business nationwide.

“Diversity means revealing and sharing the best of who we truly are, not only in business but in ethnicity, intelligence, and a common humanity.” Describes Nina. “I want young girls to be excited and inspired as they see prominent women in business as vendors as well as confident models on the runway. “

The talented team of professionals hand-picked by Nina RO$$ also include Celebrity Makeup Artist Jessica Haynes who has given us the highly coveted looks of Da Brat and Jesseca Dupart, and fellow stylist Tronecia Lockhart. The models participating in the show are women and young girls of all clothing sizes, shapes and ethnicities who will be coached by Dutchis Runway and personally styled by Nina RO$$ in a variety of looks crafted by local designers as well as those from fashion houses everywhere.

NINA RO$$ Presents: The Power of Women Inaugural Fashion Show will be held on May 28, 2021, at the Shaw Center for The Arts in Downtown Baton Rouge. The show will be an elegant red-carpet celebration of diversity among women in business presented through fashion, beauty, culture, and talent that includes amuse-bouche, live entertainment, runway models, and words of inspiration as well as an opportunity to shop with a variety of vendors which are yet to be announced.

Attendees have already begun to purchase tickets for the fundraiser which will start at $35 per person for advance purchase and $65 per person thereafter. All proceeds for the night will benefit Nina’s signature charity, The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, a 501(c)3 entity that has provided hunger relief for parishes in Louisiana since 1984. The contribution will benefit families in 11 Parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. The donated funds will go directly to these families by distribution through churches, meal sites, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes, emergency services, counseling, etc.

Personal Stylist and Image Consultant, Nina RO$$, Owner of Nina ROSS Dollhouse along with NYC-based Confidence Coach Dutchis Runway announce their final open casting call event to find runway models, makeup artists and hairstylists. Those who make the cut will be featured in the upcoming Power of Women Inaugural Fashion Show set to take place May 28, 2021 at the Shaw Center for The Arts in Downtown Baton Rouge.

The one day only casting call will be held on April 17th from 12pm to 3pm at the Renaissance Hotel, 7000 Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. For additional information regarding the location or requirements, send a DM to @powerofwomefashionshow.com.

The first casting call held on February 27th was a success and attracted a lot of attention from high-profile individuals like city officials and celebrities. The goal is to attract talented individuals from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, which speak to the purpose of the show.
