MEET THE FOUNDER
Kristana Baisden, originally from Derider, Louisiana, grew up in the quaint town of Baker, just outside Baton Rouge. From a young age, she held onto big dreams, inspired by her father's unwavering encouragement to persevere. Her aspiration to become a disability attorney was deeply influenced by her upbringing, surrounded by a mother and grandmother with hearing impairments, along with a brother who has a disability.

The loss of her father marked a transformative moment in Kristana's life, propelling her into a role of responsibility for her family. With a heartfelt commitment to the well-being of her mother, sister, grandmother, little brother, and niece, she embraced the mission of nurturing and supporting her loved ones, as if her father had entrusted her with that legacy.

During her early college years, Kristana adopted the nickname "Nina Ross," a blend of fond memories and self-empowerment—“Nina” from her first love and “Ross” reflecting her determination. This moniker encapsulated her vibrant personality and tenacity.
As Nina explored her path, she uncovered a passion for fashion that became a cornerstone of her identity. This love blossomed at Grambling State University, where she played a pivotal role in organizing successful fashion shows, deepening her appreciation for fashion's transformative impact on both herself and her community.

After graduation, Nina married and welcomed two beautiful children just nine months apart, affectionately known as "Irish twins." Embracing motherhood, she finds endless inspiration in her children, cherishing every moment spent with her family. While her dream of attending law school remained alive, she faced setbacks, including three rejections. Instead of succumbing to disappointment, she opted to pause her legal ambitions and focus on her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and case manager, ensuring support for her family and those in need.

When her husband left his job, Nina seized the moment to fully embrace her passion for fashion. This bold decision led to the creation of “The Dollhouse” and a new fashion show that reflected her journey at Grambling and addressed the needs of her community.

Now navigating life as a single mother post-divorce, Kristana is more committed than ever to infusing creativity and purpose into her fashion shows. Beyond her fashion endeavors, she indulges in hobbies like horseback riding, reading, golfing, and spending quality time with her family. She is also actively involved in volunteer work for various charities, believing in the importance of giving back while keeping the specific organizations she supports private. Through her trials and triumphs, Nina remains a symbol of resilience, using her experiences to uplift others and create a lasting impact in her community.
